Overview
A sequel to "The Ballad and the Source". It is 1933. Rebecca, betrayed by her married lover, travels to a Caribbean island. Here she meets the members of the British expatriate colony and also Johnny, a former pilot, now a crippled and misanthropic recluse, with whom she has an affair.
