Overview
Stansell, who co-founded the camp, recounts the early years of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, from its first season in 1966 and its evolution out of the Arens Art Colony of Wisconsin, including background on the colony, to the 1970s. Challenges and failures, and prominent teachers and students, are described, as well as the public radio station that broadcasted from the camp beginning in 1982
